When arguing with sceptics about gender discrimination and what to do about it, we often face the claim that women in general but especially in academia are not discriminated against at best, and that we receive preferential treatment at worst. In addition, the argument often made is that women in most cases are just not as qualified as men.
We therefore provide below research, literature, and other reports that offer reliable evidence to help female academics to argue their case and be better prepared to respond to unfounded claims of positive discrimination.
